Nas is an Icon in real time!!! Had a great time. I wish Nas had more performing time.
If you like spotify 5 second previews of songs then this is the concert for you. Nas can still sing and still flow lyrically. The problem is that he was not singing his songs fully and there was always a switch happening every verse or two. For An Example If he sang the world is yours for the full 3 minutes instead of 20 seconds that would be good. I would have rated him higher in that regard.
This was one of the best hip hop shows I've ever been to. Nas brought all of his music and gave us a nice taste of his whole career, with the help of DJ Green Lantern(which was a nice surprise). The one negative thing I will say was that when this concert was initially announced, it was announced that Travis Scott would be opening for Nas. It's even on my ticket that he was going to be there too. Unfortunately though he wasn't, for some reason or another. This isn't any of the performers fault. I'm more pinning this on Ticketmaster, not that I would of returned my tickets or anything, but It would of been nice if I had been let know that a name that was right on my ticket wouldn't be showing up.
Man, Nas came out and knocked it out the park. He was amped up and ready to go from the beginning. Played mostly 90% classic tracks and a couple newer ones. Great set would see Nas again and again.
Before the concert I was such a fan of NAS like I got those tickets as a birthday gift. And for some reason he didn't show up for long. Played and same old songs.. Hate me now is so old that I unchecked it from iTunes so I woukdent sync it. The only good song was Oochie Wally. And he just played the sample. I saw J.Cole last January in 2014 and it was way more exciting. Like he stayed for a full 2 hours... At the point I was feeling like "when can I get home!!" But way better concert... And NAS won't ever release his new album. It's just like Detox. :/
Amazing concert with Nas rockin' the mic in Winnipeg. So impressed how he lit up the stage. Travis Scott and Tink didn't show up, but who cares when you have God's Son up there.
Top 5, dead or alive. Nas is an excellent artist and performer. If you appreciate Hip Hop culture, this performance was a must-see.
Started with a documentary on his upbringing and the making of his first album which is an absolute classic. Then the screen raised and Nas was there to rap his first album in its entirety plus a few other songs. It was intimate and brought me back to a time when hip hop was almost at its height. I had to work early the next morning but I didn't care, I didn't want this night to end. In addition, Nas gave everyone a free 'mixtape' cd that I will never give up. It was a great night!!!
A life changing show in the perfect setting...JA!! RASTAFARI!!!
