    Sick show

    by Egg on 2024-01-26

This is about the History show from October in Toronto. Great performance. The build up was great, the atmosphere was perfect and the mixing was crisp. Nothing to bash about the show, everything was in its right place at the right time. The only thing I do give fault for is lack of crowd interaction. Was pretty disappointed that they rarely said much coming out. No real “hey Toronto, we’re Polyphia” or “make some noise for this next one”. It sucks because interaction with the crowd is real important for shows, especially rock concerts. Scott pretty much did all the talking but it was in really small places like halfway through the show, or the end of the concert; telling us to create mosh pits or get real hyped. Other than that, if you only care about seeing them and hearing each song back to back, in that regard, it’s great

Polyphia au MTélus : Mémorable !!!

by Pat on 2023-10-27MTELUS - Montreal

Wowed by the skill, great set for music lovers

by Fan from Toronto on 2023-10-24History - Toronto

I’ve been a fan of Polyphia for a couple years now and was super stoked to see them live! Their performance did not disappoint - the live set was almost spot on with their studio recordings. They played tons of their popular songs so no fan was disappointed, and overall the show was a blast! The stage lights were very bright and colourful, so not only was it fun to listen to but it was also fun to watch. One thing about this show in Toronto that I found extremely strange was the band did not offer a single word to the crowd. There was no “Hey Toronto, we’re Polyphia! Thanks for coming out!”. I don’t think it was a mic problem given the opening set (Domi and JD Beck, more striking talent) were using mics to talk to the crowd regularly. I like going to shows for that live interpersonal experience, since you don’t get to hear from the artists much when you’re listening to the music from home. Despite this, Scott LePage was great with the crowd interaction (even though you couldn’t hear what he was saying without a mic).

    Absolutely incredible

They literally raised my expectations for live music. The bar has been set and I doubt it will be moved for a while. Bravo.
